My career has been dedicated to the view that everyone’s life can be enhanced by philosophy. I am fortunate to teach philosophy in a department whose pedagogical mission involves helping students acquire a vivid and visceral understanding of the ways that philosophy can be beneficial in their lives. For years now, I have been training my ethics students to be mediators. I do this first because mediation skills are, at root, ethical skills, but secondly because as they inhabit the role of a mediator, my students are developing and absorbing life habits that will benefit all of their relationships.

My work as a certified philosophical counselor is another way to make my philosophical vision a reality. My years of experience as a philosophy professor, mediator, and prelaw advisor provide me with the requisite knowledge, personal skills and wisdom to be an excellent philosophical counselor.
